Udaipur is a city in Rajasthan surrounded by artificial lakes and is known for the royal residencies.
Udaipur is famous for its historical architecture, ancient forts, and beautiful lakes. The scenic beauty of this place has made it an attraction for tourists.
You can plan a 3-5 days trip you can travel from Mumbai via road, railways or airways.
Cuisine- Rajasthani cuisine is well known for its nutrition and taste. You must try dal batti churma, street foods like Mirchi vada, kadhi pakoda, gate ki sabzi.
Places to visit in Udaipur
1)Lake Pichola-It is an artificial freshwater lake named after Pichola Village. Lake Pichola is one of the main attractions for tourists.
You can enjoy the view with a speed boat or a slow boating experience that lasts for 45 min. (#Tip- carry a Bluetooth speaker to enjoy the scenic view and play your favorite song)



2)Udaipur City Palace- The palace was built over 400yrs ago with several rules of the Mewar dynasty. Built-in Granite and marble the City Palace complex is of the best architectural marvels in Rajasthan. There are beautiful mirror works and small palaces and every place in the palace has a history of its own

3)Kumbhalgarh Fort-It is also known as the Great Wall of India.
Kumbhalgarh is a hidden fort and you can only see it once you arrive near this fort.
It is an adventure as there is a short hike to reach on top. You will have a magnificent view when you reach on top


4)Haldi Gathi- Haldighati is a mountain pass between Khamnore and Balicha village
The name is haldi gathi as it is believed to have originated from turmeric-colored yellow soil (turmeric in Hindi is Haldi)
Haldighati is also significant for another reason, i.e., the bond of Maharana Pratap and his horse, Chetak. Chetak left Pratap in a safe place and took his last breath just a few kilometers away.

Best time to visit is usually from October to February. During Diwali festival this place is celebrated as a reminder that how precious the moments of life are and the sky is lit with stunning fireworks
